- Newsletter-related information: information needed to deliver newsletters into your Readbase inbox (for example, your Readbase inbox address) and the newsletters you choose to subscribe to using that address.

- Registration information: when you sign up, we collect your email address and any information provided during onboarding.
2.2 Information processed to provide the Services
- Newsletter content: emails/newsletters sent to your Readbase inbox address, including their content and attachments, which we process to display them in the App (for example, rendering HTML, generating previews, enabling unsubscribe controls, and supporting offline access).
- Subscription and usage data: such as your subscriptions list, read/unread state, bookmarks, and related settings.
2.3 Automatically collected information
- Device and app information: such as device type, operating system version, app version, language, and time zone.
- Diagnostics and performance data: crash logs, error reports, and performance metrics to help us maintain and improve the Services.
- Approximate location: derived from IP address (typically at the city/region level) for security and analytics.
- Website data: if you use our website, we may collect information via cookies or similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).
3. How we use your information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services (including delivering, displaying, organizing, and searching newsletters).
- Enable features you request (for example, offline reading, managing subscriptions, and unsubscribe actions).
- Communicate with you about the Services (for example, service updates, security alerts, and support responses).
- Improve the Services (for example, debugging, analytics, and performance optimization).

4. Do we "read your emails"?
Readbase processes newsletter emails sent to your Readbase inbox address in order to provide the core functionality of the App (such as rendering, previews, categorization, and subscription management). We do not sell newsletter content or use it for advertising. We do not access your personal email inbox unless you explicitly provide content to us (for example, in a support request).
5. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
If you are located in the EEA or the UK, we process your information under the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Services you request.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, improve, and maintain the Services (balanced against your rights).
- Consent: where required (for example, certain cookies, marketing emails if applicable).
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We may share information in the following circumstances:

- Newsletter content: retained as needed to provide the Services (for example, to display your newsletters and support offline access), and may be deleted when you delete newsletters or your account.
- Logs and diagnostics: retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
8. Deleting content and your account
You can delete newsletters within the App. If you delete your account, we will take steps to delete or anonymize personal information, subject to legal or operational requirements (for example, security logs, fraud prevention, or compliance obligations).
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers (for example, standard contractual clauses).

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as:
